Do you remember those Raptors ticket giveaways, oh, end-of-last-yearish? I Q&A’ed the man responsible, Bohire’s VP of Business Development, Vincent Tsang. We talk about happy stuff, like Raptors and cash rewards. Here we go:

Tell us briefly about yourself.

In 1996 I co-founded a company called Infocheck.  Infocheck became the largest Canadian owned Human Resources Consulting Firm specializing in Background Checks and Exit Interviews.  In 2004 Infocheck was acquired by First Advantage.  From 2004 to 2006, I was the Vice President of Business Development with First Advantage.

In 2008, I co-founded a company called Bohire, Canada’s Job Referral Community.  Bohire is an online community where companies post jobs and offer cash referral rewards.  When you refer a friend and he/she gets hired, you get the cash!

When did you become a Raptors fan?

Right from the beginning.  I remember going to the SkyDome and watching a game, 50 rows up from the floor and I couldn’t see anything but little sticks running up and down the court.

How did the Bohire-Raptors connection come about?

When we first started Infocheck in 1996, we had absolutely no money.  We ran our business from home and we had about $100/month for groceries and entertainment. We were starving!  Long story short, we finally started making some money 5 years later and decided to purchase Raptor Season Tickets to give to our clients.  Of course, we take a few games for ourselves once in awhile.

How can Bohire help job seekers during this economic downturn?
