Here’s another nickname to add to our list: Rudy Ukic. Courtesy of the local Happy Dude, Dave Feschuk:

In the otherwise disgraceful throes of the Knicks’ 30-point blowout of the Raptors, Ukic, who is 23 years old and baby-faced, was feted with chants of “Ru-dy! Ru-dy!” It was a reference to the Hollywood-movie underdog, and it probably only could have been conjured at the corner of Seventh Ave. and 32nd St.

Maybe if I squint reeeal hard...

Well, the nickname has proven appropriate (stupid poetic justice!) since the Raptors took the second half of the two-game series with a 111-100 win, plus Roko Rudy’s absolutely crucial 5 points (2-3, 1 3pt) and 2 assists in 12:27 minutes.

Oh, and Dave: the man’s actually 24 years old.
